Fun stuff for the weekend

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Is the Internet driving you crazy? Don’t worry it soon will be, after visiting some of the mad websites I’ll be featuring here each and every Friday.

Yes! It’s the weekend, and time to chuck down those work tools, chill out, and check out all those weird, wacky, silly, ridiculous, creepy, crazy and downright outrageous websites that make the Internet the wonderful place it is today.

Pissed-off Pussies

The Web is full of websites with cute pictures of playful kitties, so it makes a change to come across a site full of grumpy sour-faced felines: My Cat Hates You has been specialising in evil-looking cats since 2000. You can browse through the archives of these fierce-looking creatures getting up to all sorts of mischief, or order the book where only the most pissed-off pussies make the grade.

Fork you

Ever wanted to bend a spoon just like Uri Geller? Well, this site will teach you how. After learning the trick, you’ll be able to impress your friends and family around the dinner table - and end up with a pile of bent cutlery. Just click-on over to fork-you.com, and happy bending!

Silly Walks Generator

When you’re fed up bending spoons, then why not try a few silly walks? Over at Monty Python’s Silly Walks Generator, you can create some silly walks, store them online, and send them to your friends. If you’re brave, or silly enough, you might even want to try them out in the street!

A nice English cuppa

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Getting back to the all-important subject of tea, as I write this post I am sipping a hot cup of English tea. Relaxing with a nice morning cuppa is very comforting, and puts the whole world into perspective.

To find out more on how to be English, and how to make the “purrfect” cuppa, you could watch the hilarious video How to be English by charlieissocoollike over on YouTube. It still makes me laugh out loud.

On the other hand, for more serious look at making tea, take a wander over to Bella Online and check out How to make a perfect English cup of tea by Hellie T.

Enlightened or not - It is all the very same. Have a cup of tea!

Best Astrologer in the World

Wednesday, January 16th, 2008

I’ve been a great fan of astrologer Jonathan Cainer for many years, following his predictions in the Daily Mail. His forecasts have always proved uncannily accurate for me.

For example, in his weekly forecast for me this week he says: “You are doing your best to be sensitive and wise. In a world that isn’t perfect, you are striving for the highest standard.” Those words certainly struck a note of truth, and I am trying very hard to be wise!

On New Years Eve, Jonathan went on live national TV and confidently predicted that Hilary Clinton would definitely be the next President of the United States. We shall see. After November 4th he will either be hailed as a prophet, or have egg all over his astrological face.

You can find Jonathan and his predictions over at Cainer.com

Slow down now, and have a nice cup of tea
